What Is Speech and Language Therapy?

Speech and language therapy helps children develop essential communication skills, whether they are verbal, non-verbal. At Jumpstart Center, therapy is always personalized to match each child’s current abilities, needs, and learning style.

Our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) use evidence-based techniques to support speech clarity, language comprehension and expression, social communication, and oral-motor skills. We also offer specialized services for children facing feeding challenges, speech-motor planning issues, or difficulties related to literacy.

What Are Dyslexia Support Sessions?

Jumpstart Center offers specialized dyslexia support sessions led by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist with advanced training in literacy and language-based learning difficulties.

These sessions are designed for children who struggle with reading, spelling, and comprehension despite having typical intelligence and schooling. Using a kinesthetic, evidence-based approach, our SLPs incorporate movement, hands-on activities, and structured literacy techniques to strengthen phonological awareness, decoding skills, and reading fluency.

This engaging, whole-child approach is ideal for children with a dyslexia diagnosis or early signs of reading delays, helping them build confidence, develop critical literacy skills, and make meaningful progress in school.
